This role reports directly to the Corporate Operations Learning & Development head.Working closely with global manufacturing site leads to develop and manage the processes, systems and technical infrastructure that support the design, development, delivery and evaluation of global learning & development programs.

Director - Leadership & Organization Development
 
 
 
Ths position is responsible for consultation on and development of leadership and organization development solutions related to individual and team competency and capability development using a variety of assessment, coaching, team-building and facilitative/instructional methods for the Genzyme's Corporate Operations function.  Also, sources and manages contract resources and external vendors as required on a project-related basis. 
 
This position reports to the Senior Director of Leadership & Organization Development and serves as a member of the Leadership & Organization Development Team within Leadership & Organization Development, a function of Genzyme Human Resources. Also works in partnership with other Leadership & Organization Development professionals who have primary responsibility for Corporate Operations sites and functions outside of the United States. 
 
This position also works in partnership with Human Resources Business Partners to support management teams for each of the assigned organizations and participates in local and global Human Resources management meetings on a periodic basis.
 
 
 
This role is a blend of both strategic thinking and tactical implementation skills and requires that a successful candidate has a minimum of 15 years experience in leadership and organization development and the following experiences, skills and attributes:
 
Required:

An advanced degree in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Organizational Psychology or Organizational Development or a closely related discipline
Specialized knowledge of operations & manufacturing in a regulated environment,  pharma or biotech industry preferred
Leadership experience in significant organization change and transformation efforts
Advanced knowledge of best practice leadership development practices and techniques, particularly coaching
Experience developing leadership and technical competency models
Experience with leadership program design and development 
Mastery level meeting facilitation of senior level teams
Knowledge of talent management applications, practices and systems
Understanding of Lean and other process improvement practices
Understanding of standard practices in learning measurement and evaluation
 Demonstrated ability to influence and execute in a global business environment
